Source of rudraksha has been found in hindu mythology. From ancient times when Hindu holy books were written in sanskrit, there are descriptions about the utpati/origin/source of rudraksha. According to Hindu mythology, Shiva used the fire arms, called Aaghor to kill Tripura Sur, the troublesome demon. The weapon killed the demon, but provisionally blinded Shiva also, who had to close our eyes in order to escape its dazzling brilliance. When Shiva opened his eyes, they were watery.
