Prepare a shortlist before you travel
- Save the URLs or item references from the gemstone directory or Rudraksha collection.
- State your intended use: a loose stone, finished ring, pendant, mala, bracelet or gift.
- Give a comfortable total budget, including any metal, making work, special testing and delivery.
- Write down the measurements you need. A carat weight alone does not establish whether a stone fits an existing setting.
- Ask which items and documents can be ready for comparison, and whether any work needs a separate quotation.

Compare items under ordinary viewing conditions
Look at the complete item, not only its brightest angle. Compare colour, apparent size, visible marks and any mounting under similar lighting. Ask which photograph shows the exact offered item and which is representative. A short video can help show a Cat's Eye band or another appearance feature, but it does not replace material identification.
For Rudraksha, inspect the stated mukhi, dimensions and construction. For a mala or bracelet, compare finished length, bead count, cord, clasp and fittings. A product's religious name does not describe every component of the assembly.
Read the report and written disclosures together
Every Omm product includes a DGTL Gem Lab certificate. Compare the item and listing with the report number, photograph, measurements and findings where supplied. If you need a particular treatment or geographic-origin conclusion, ask which evidence establishes it. Special reports and origin tests are arranged separately on request.

Ask for a written description of the item, metal, dimensions, work requested and complete price. Confirm making charges, taxes, delivery and additional testing where applicable. Ask about the process and timeframe for setting, resizing or stringing before authorising it.
