The method matters before the result
The phrase Feng Shui covers different approaches, not one identical calculation used by every practitioner. A reader can easily become confused when advice from several sources is collected without identifying how it was reached. Ask the simple question first: “Which method does this report use, and what information does it need?”
Professional associations such as the Feng Shui Society and the International Feng Shui Guild describe different approaches and terminology. Their descriptions are useful orientation, not a personal assessment of your home. An explanation should help you recognise the method being offered without implying that one short article settles every school or lineage.
Form-based observation begins with the setting
An observational approach gives attention to the form and use of a space and its surroundings. For a customer, the practical lesson is to provide actual information about the area being discussed. Describe its layout, current use and relevant conditions rather than assuming the practitioner can infer them from a date of birth.
That does not mean any attractive room photograph is a Feng Shui assessment. The room checklist helps you record the difference between a real observation and an impression. A useful report identifies what was supplied, what was examined and which conclusions remain limited by missing information.
Compass approaches need a clear directional reference
Compass-based approaches introduce directional information under a defined method. The reference, the way it was obtained and any uncertainty should be part of the record. The word “north” is not enough if people are using different references or inconsistent readings without noticing the difference.
Different compass-related schools may also ask different questions, including time-related information for methods that use it. Do not add such a layer by guesswork. The report should name what has actually been calculated or assessed, and should not turn a simple direction request into an unannounced claim of a complete specialist survey.
Personal directions concern a particular person
A personal-direction reading uses its stated calculation and input conventions. The existing Omm reader identifies an Eight Mansions approach and retains relevant calendar-boundary uncertainty. Its scope should remain separate from physical observations of the person's home or office. A personal direction does not reveal the room's entrance, dimensions or arrangement.
Read how personal directions differ from a property assessment before using an online result to make room decisions. If you are combining information from two methods, ask the team to explain the relationship instead of choosing whichever isolated statement seems most comforting.
Choose a request that fits the information available
You can begin with a modest request: an explanation of the personal-direction output, help preparing room observations or clarification about a method named in another report. This is more useful than asking for a single score that hides all the different inputs. It also lets the team explain what is already supported and what needs further review.
Use the free Feng Shui consultation form and describe the actual question. It requires recorded birth date, time and birthplace as well as relevant space observations; contact the team if required information is unavailable. If you also want Vastu guidance, identify it separately so the traditions are not silently merged. Any product or placement suggestion should follow stated reasoning, practical limits and review, without promising wealth, health or another outcome.
