Begin by choosing the question you want answered
Someone may ask for Feng Shui guidance while wanting to understand personal directions, arrange a work area or assess an entire home. Those are not the same task. The request becomes clearer when you say what you want to learn and what information you already have, instead of expecting one number or label to describe the whole situation.
For example, “I would like to understand the personal-direction method” is different from “Please assess the room where I work.” Our overview of Feng Shui approaches helps you recognise the distinction. You can ask the team to explain the available method before collecting measurements that may not be relevant to your initial question.
What a personal-direction layer can discuss
The existing personal-direction reader uses a named Eight Mansions approach and an explicit convention around the Li Chun year boundary. A report should identify that convention, preserve uncertainty near a relevant boundary and explain which recorded inputs were used. It should not give a result greater certainty simply because the output has a neat table.
This is a traditional interpretive method, not a guarantee about what will happen to a person. The report should make its scope understandable. If an input or boundary is uncertain, clarification is more useful than selecting whichever answer appears most favourable or combining different conventions without telling the reader.
What a property assessment still needs
A person's birth details do not show where the actual entrance, desk, bedroom or windows are. A space-related discussion needs relevant observations from that property: its use, layout, direction reference and practical restrictions. Without those facts, a personal-direction explanation should not be described as a completed home assessment.
The room-observation checklist is a good place to prepare. Record what you know and label what is unknown. A photograph of a peaceful room on this website is an illustration for reading, not proof that the same arrangement is suitable for your room or that your property has been examined.
A combined report should explain its layers
If a request includes both personal directions and actual room observations, the report should keep their bases visible. You should be able to see which statement came from the calculation and which came from the property's supplied information. Similar language about direction does not make the two sources of information interchangeable.
The same care applies when someone also asks about Vastu. These are different traditions, and a report should name the method used for each part. A disagreement should be explained rather than hidden inside one generic score. The property-record guide can help you provide clearer observations without merging the traditions.
Ask for practical guidance you can discuss
Tell the team whether the space is rented, shared or difficult to rearrange. Describe the change you are considering and what cannot be altered. This helps keep suggestions relevant to the people who actually use the room. A traditional association should not become an instruction to make unsafe or impractical changes.
Use the free Feng Shui request form to state which layer interests you. Staff can prepare the supported information, ask for missing facts and review the result. Optional objects may be discussed where appropriate, but they should follow a reasoned explanation rather than substitute for a property assessment or promise a particular personal outcome.
