Hematite Pyramid

A steel-grey metallic-looking surface creates a compact, visually weighty display. One carved pyramid.
Call for pricing

Hematite is an iron oxide mineral that can take a metallic-looking polish. A shaped object sold under the same name might instead be a manufactured material or imitation. Decide which you are being offered before comparing price or discussing care. A reassuringly heavy feel is useful physical information, but it does not settle the identification.

Choosing this material or design

Strongly magnetic jewellery and ornaments are sometimes marketed as magnetic hematite even when made from manufactured ferrite materials. Natural hematite can show varying magnetic behaviour, so the opposite shortcut is also unsafe: do not declare every weakly attracted piece fake. Ask the supplier for a clear natural or manufactured classification, supported by suitable identification when that claim matters.

Care before display

Support the full base when lifting. A small dense pyramid can damage a delicate shelf or another ornament if dropped. Use a stable protective pad if needed and keep it out of children’s reach. Begin cleaning with a soft dry cloth. Avoid soaking, acids and abrasive polishing when the composition or finish is uncertain.

Buying questions

Does attraction prove natural hematite? No. Does absence of strong attraction prove natural origin? No. Is manufactured hematite-like material unacceptable? It can be suitable when its identity is disclosed and it meets the buyer’s purpose. Ask what the body actually consists of and retain that answer with the purchase details.
