should i wear rudraksha today ?

I am Hindu by birth and I plan to wear Rudraksha on the upcoming Shivaratri day, which is the most auspicious day for Shiva devotees. I have a question regarding the timing: Can I wear Rudraksha specifically on Shivaratri, or should I follow the tradition of wearing it on Monday?

Rudraksha can be worn any day, but Monday is preferable as it is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It is traditionally recommended that Rudraksha beads not be worn while consuming non-vegetarian food or alcohol.

Choose an auspicious day that feels right for yourself to perform Rudraksha pooja and Rudra Abhishekam before wearing the bead.

Rudraksha is considered a special spiritual bead, used historically to increase self-confidence, enhance spiritual power, and provide courage.

As per traditional scriptures, wearing it on Monday is preferred, though it can also be worn on other auspicious days.

I agree with Ms. Pilai.

It is recommended to energize the Rudraksha mala with prayer and mantra chanting before starting to wear it.

It does not need to be worn specifically on Monday; it can be worn on any day deemed suitable by the wearer.

The beads are strung into a mala, which makes them easy to wear.

You may chant the Rudraksha mantra and perform simple offerings at home before wearing it.

If unable to chant the specific mantra for each bead, chanting "Om Namah Shivaya" 27 times before wearing is sufficient.

There is no strict requirement regarding auspicious days; you may wear the mala on any day convenient for you.
