Tiger Eye Pyramid

Golden brown bands catch light as the viewing angle changes. One carved pyramid.
Call for pricing

Tiger eye is valued for a silky moving reflection related to its fibrous structure. On a pyramid, one face may show a strong golden band while the adjacent face looks browner or quieter. This directional difference is expected when a three-dimensional object is cut across the structure. A short video while the carving turns is more informative than one exceptionally bright photograph.

Choosing this material or design

The cutter chooses how the fibres meet the faces. Look for an arrangement you enjoy from the intended viewing direction, together with a sound point and a flat base. A dramatic band on one face does not guarantee the same band on all four. Ask for close views of natural seams, because a fibrous-looking texture and an open structural split need different judgments.

Care before display

Place the pyramid where ordinary side light reveals the moving sheen without requiring prolonged direct sun. Lift it by the base and avoid knocking the point. For routine care use a clean soft cloth; if the identified surface permits moisture, wipe lightly and dry. Do not use abrasive polish or attempt to improve the sheen by sanding the faces.

Buying questions

Should every face flash at once? No: optical direction and cutting orientation matter. Is a red piece necessarily natural colour? No: ask about treatment. Does a bright stripe prove identity? No single visual feature replaces material identification. Compare several viewing angles before choosing the individual appearance you want.
