Om Engraved Clear Quartz Pyramid
Om Engraved Rose Quartz Pyramid
An engraved pyramid combines a material with intentional artwork. An Om engraving on amethyst is physically different from a plain amethyst carving, but it is still important to name the body material. The engraved-symbol category is a design grouping that can overlap material categories; it should not imply a new mineral species.
Choosing this material or design
Ask for a close-up showing whether the motif is recessed, laser marked, printed or painted. These techniques affect appearance and cleaning. Check for chips at the edge of the engraving and ask whether gold or another colour is an actual metal, paint or an unverified decorative finish. A symbolic image does not certify the stone beneath it.
Care before display
Dust gently with a soft brush or cloth so grit does not build up inside grooves. Avoid scrubbing, solvents or abrasive metal polish over paint or gilding. Follow the body material’s care needs as well. An engraved quartz piece and an engraved soft gypsum piece need different handling even when their motifs look similar.
Buying questions
Does an Om motif make the material authentic? No. Is gold-coloured artwork necessarily gold? No. Should all four faces carry the symbol? Only if the design description says so. Ask to see the actual artwork and confirm technique before comparing plain and engraved prices.
