- Mala: consider its weight, bead count and whether it is for prayer, wearing or both.
Materials deserve attention
Ask which metals, threads and elastic are used, particularly if you already avoid particular jewellery materials. “Spiritual” does not mean a fitting will suit everyone's skin. Stop wearing an item that causes discomfort and seek appropriate advice if irritation persists.
