13 face rudraksha

I am aware that 13 mukhi rudraksha is said to fulfill desires. What kind of desires?  
Is it only material desires like money, clothes, or finding a partner? What about spiritual awareness or consciousness?  

I do not care much for materialistic gains. I am interested in merging my consciousness with higher levels of mind and unleashing spiritual power.  

I have been told that Venus is weak in my horoscope, and 13 mukhi was highly suggested. I want a rudraksha that benefits me most based on my birth chart.

Do we need to chant the Beej mantra when wearing 13 mukhi rudraksha?  

Chanting the specific beej mantra maximizes the effect of that rudraksha. "Om Namah Shivaya" can also be chanted. Both can be used for best results.

Chanting a mantra serves as a self-cleaning process for the wearer. Specific beeja mantra is recommended for the first-time wearing. Afterwards, Shiva Panchakshari mantra can be chanted.
