The Tulasi or holy basil plant is an important symbol in Hindu religion.most of the Hindu people worship tulasi by offering water to tulasi plant in morning and oil lamp in evening . For common cold and cough 5 to 10 tulasi leaves can be consumed with 1 spoon of honey.
For headache and stomach disorder tulasi leaves can be taken with black pepper and honey
For any kind insect bite fresh tulasi leaves with little turmeric powder juice can be applied
Tulasi is quite effective bringing down temperature can be taken with pure cow ghee
Tulasi can be taken in various forms like herbal tea ,dried powder or fresh leaves.and it can be safely used for children.

Offer yellow colored fruit and flower to god. If possible wear yellow dress. Do 108 times japam for guru "Om Brihaspataye namah". In the evening, pour turmeric water to tulasi/banana plant. Offer dhupam and deepam to lord in the evening.
Swastika means well being. Su means well, astika means being. Swastika is the symbol of well being and prosperity. It is in the form of cross mark with the ends bend towards right. It is very auspicious, that one should use this symbol for puja room, outer main door, business place, shop etc.
The right handed swastika moves clock wise, it represents lord Vishnu or Sun. In puranas, it is described as sudarshana chakra or the wheel of Vishnu, which symbolizes constant changes in the universe.
The left handed swastika moves anti clock wise direction, which is considered as evil omen or negative energy. Generally it is never used.
In Hinduism starting of any new things like business, house warming, new venture etc, the symbol is used with the words Om and Subhalabha. This means auspicious profit. To get the blessing of mata Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, we use this symbol.
